What Is Incoloy 925?
Incoloy 925 is an age-hardened nickel-iron-chromium alloy with additions of molybdenum, copper, titanium and aluminum. The chemical composition of this alloy is designed to provide a combination of high strength and excellent corrosion resistance. The nickel content is sufficient to prevent chloride ion stress corrosion cracking. Nickel, along with molybdenum and copper, also provides significant resistance to chemical reduction. Molybdenum helps resist pitting and crevice corrosion. The chromium content of the alloy resists oxidizing environments. During heat treatment, the addition of titanium and aluminum causes strengthening reactions.
Incoloy 925 (UNS N09925) nickel-based alloy composition.
Incoloy 925 (UNS N09925) nickel-based alloys typically contain 19.5-23.50% Cr and 42.0-26.0% Ni. Incoloy 925 (UNS N09925) alloy is a nickel-based alloy containing molybdenum and copper and has excellent hot and cold working properties.

Main properties.
Has good mechanical strength and wide range of corrosion resistance.
Application range.
Incoloy925 is used in a variety of applications requiring a combination of high strength and corrosion resistance. Because of its resistance to sulfide stress cracking and stress corrosion cracking in crude oil and natural gas containing hydrogen sulfide, the alloy is used in downhole and surface gas well components, including tubular products, valves, suspensions, seating joints, tool joints and packers. This alloy is also used in fasteners, marine shafts, pump shafts and high strength piping systems.
