Basic introduction about Duranickel  and Ni-Mo、Ni-Mo-Cr Hastelloy

Duranickel:

The nickel content of these alloys exceeds 94%. The ultrahigh nickel alloy containing 4.75% manganese is resistant to vulcanization at high temperatures. If heat treatment is carried out, Duranickel 301 will become stronger, which will cause the submicroscopic particles of Ni 3 Al and Ti to precipitate in the whole matrix. This process is called precipitation hardening. Duranikel maintains excellent spring performance at temperatures up to 600 ° F. The corrosion resistance of these alloys is similar to that of commercially pure wrought nickel.

Ni-Mo、Ni-Mo-Cr Hastelloy:

These alloys have high strength despite high temperatures and corrosive environments. Hastelloy B is known for its resistance to HCl (hydrogen chloride) and for its creep and breaking strength at temperatures around 1400 ° F.

Hastelloy C is resistant to active oxidants such as wet CL 2 (chlorine), hypochlorite bleach, FeCl 3 (ferric chloride), and HNO 3 (nitric acid). Hastelloy C also resists oxidation and reduction atmospheres at temperatures up to 2000 ° F and can still carry loads at temperatures up to 1600 ° F.

Hastelloy C-276 can resist pitting, stress corrosion, cracking and reducing atmosphere at 1900 ° F. It can also prevent the formation of grain boundary precipitates in the heat affected welding zone, so it is suitable for most chemical process applications under as welded conditions.

Hastelloy X resists oxidation at temperatures up to 2200 ° F and maintains useful creep and fracture properties at 1800 ° F.
