2205 Stainless Steel Pipe

The yield strength of 2205 duplex stainless steel is more than double that of regular austenitic stainless steel, which allows designers to design products with reduced weight and gives this alloy a price advantage over 316,317L. This alloy is particularly suitable for temperatures in the -50°F/+600°F range. Applications beyond this temperature range may also consider the alloy, but there are some limitations, especially when applied to welded structures.
